Despite its small population, St. Maries is renowned for its numerous recreational
activities and 360-degree views. Located in Benewah County, just two hours from
the border of Canada, St. Maries
is on the cusp of two large rivers surrounded by dense forests and a multitude

State Park provides some of the area's best campsites as well as the opportunity

boating. The area is locally famous for water sports as the St.
Maries River and the six creeks feeding into it provide ideal conditions for
